Where have you been?
Nowhere. Lots of places. I covered this in a post long ago. (The gall of an employer to not let me access blogspot at work!) I'm not online at home or on my "mobile phone".

What are you reading?
Ah, one of my favorite questions to ask and answer.
Present reading list:
In This Our Life by Ellen Glasgow
An early edition of the Poetry 180 book compiled by Billy Collins
Just picked up Olive Kitteridge by Elizabeth Strout
I got around to reading The Good Earth by Pearl Buck. How did I miss something so good, for so long?
Other recent reads: The Watermelon King by Daniel Wallace and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon.
I'm omitting listing academic reading so as not to arouse suspicion.

What do you think of Obama?
Who? Next question.
It's soon 2011 A. B. (that's after Boucher)
(please note evasive, quasi-ignorant answer)

Done anything exciting?
Why, yes. Saw Trans Siberian Orchestra in concert.
Spent a few days at Hatteras fishing.
I've become a better person with the help of the Lawd and therapy.
(Does anyone know who Lawd is?)

Anything else worth telling?
To this unnamed, faded audience? I don't suppose.
I do a lot of push ups these days. I'm thinking of becoming a shadow boxer.

Happy Advent and remember, blue is more than the color of lonesome.
